It’s easy to get triggered these days and use a textbox as a bully pulpit, when inspired to do so I remind self of this:

A primary element to the perceivable “greatness” of an entity is it’s efforts to diminish the ‘greatness” of another versus elevating and celebrating it’s own.

An increase in negativity is an elevation in “greatness” to elements who identify with and/or draw power from negative associations.

As a worker of the light and shadow i personally find no problem with this but self-awareness of that which empowers an entity should be attained if said entity seeks the perpetual uplifting of that which they are

The above is the reason that when I make “cynical political” art pieces I tend to approach them from a satirical self-aggrandizing perspective in an attempt to maintain contextual positivity while highlighting things I personally disagree with. It seems to be the primary mechanism of late night shows such as Colbert, it’s too easy to become a demeaning bully oneself otherwise.

I struggle with this everyday with my neighbors and have to reign myself in before the darkside consumes me lol
